unm police– say leads and tips are coming in– after releasing a sketch of the suspect in this weeks attack on campus. investigators say this man stabbed a student in the neck monday night– and then grabbed her cell phone. and now, we’re learning this new face– has been seen by some students– even before monday night’s attack. cristina rodda is live at unm– with an update on the investigion so minute thumbnail 12:04 pm far. cristina? marla– today campus police are busy sifting through leads in monday’s night’s robbery and stabbing of a university student. right away after that composite sketch was released– the phones started ringing. calls came in– including some promising leads from people who believe they had an encounter wh the suspect on campus. “we started getting calls right away. i mean there’s a lot of people who’ve seen people on campus that resemble this person or people think that they know this person not by name but have seen him .” police say the suspect robbed the woman of her cell phone and stabbed her or sliced her throat– while she was outside the anthropology building monday night. the victim is not only a student but a university employee. she is still in the hospital and is said to be doing all right. coming up in the second half hour– we ask– what do students think about the investigation? do they feel safer? will tell you about the minute thumbnail 12:05 pm responses we’re getting. reporting live from unm– cristina rodda eyewitness news four
