Mobile Phones Are No More?

Mobile Phones Are No More

There are so many people out there that are choosing to stay inside and talk to all of their friends on Facebook and Twitter which is actually a great shame. However are these services replacing phone conversations or not?

Mobile Embracing Facebook

It can already be seen that mobile phone companies are really trying to bring in some of the 200 million Facebook users. There also seem to be more and more adverts out there that are always going about how they now have the Facebook service on the mobile, does anyone actually care.

Does this mean that the mobile companies think that there are some serious problems coming from Facebook and Twitter? It has to be really, these companies must realise how important Facebook and Twitter is becoming to the people with no lives at all. Sometimes people are realising the poor quality of these sites and how they are just wasting hours a day doing nothing.

Has anyone seen the stupid Farmville and Mafia Wars? It seems to be that these kind of games are shocking and a disgrace to the gaming community and do nothing but waste peoples time and it can take some serious hours to get through games such as these.

I think it is more to do with mobile companies wanting to offer their customers something they are going to use and it would seem that they cannot argue with 200 million people. With Twitter very slowly crawling its way up it has to be said phones are likely to carry on with this.

So throw away those fax to email systems and those 0800 numbers and premium rate phone numbers and get Facebook. No I am joking, these other services are much better.

So There you have it

Business And The iPhone

Business And The iPhone

With the release of various smart phones are companies choosing to hand their employees the iPhone rather than get technology for their landlines like 0800 numbers and premium rate phone numbers?

The Reasons

Tracking

There are actually quite a few reasons that support why companies are handing out brand new smart phones to their employees. Many bosses love to keep track of where their employees are for a trust relationship and you can track smart phones. You can then see exactly what your employees are up too. Are they really ill or have they gone into town to buy something cool for themselves?

Kindness

If someone was to receive one of these phones then they are going to feel a hell of lot better about the company and feel like they are very valued. Giving your employees the latest technology just shows that you care about the people in the business and could actually help to boost the morale within the company making your employees work a lot harder than they did before.

More Work?

With the addition of things like e-mail and Facebook on the mobile it is possible for your employees to do their work wherever they are in the country. They can start the day on the train by sending out important e-mails and you can get in contact with them either by e-mail or via Facebook whenever you need too as well.

Negatives

There are a couple of negatives to this and the main one seems to be the initial cost of doing something like this. A lot of the phones that you can get are pay as you go but truth be told you are better off paying for all of the contracts for the employees. It is certainly going to cost you a lot of money if you have a lot of people within the office itself.

You are still going to need systems like the fax to email in place as the smart phone is not quite clever enough to redirect faxes into an email format just yet.
