  I’m well aware of the Balfour Declaration. As well as “U Thant’s War”, as the ‘67 war was known. I’m am fully aware of the causes of that war, and it’s consequences.

  And you’re quite wrong that Israel “still has that land today”. The Sinai, captured in ‘67, was returned to Egypt in exchange for Peace. You’ll remember that Sadat was assissnated over this. Muslims just don’t like peace I guess.

  Try some logic PAIRED WITH FACT. It’ll do wonders for ya.

  I should have suggested logic paired with facts not clouded by one perspective as with any conflict there are two. You’ve already commented on how screwed up the Muslims are, but nothing of Jews. Sounds a bit biased to me.

  There are twenty reported deaths, 8 of which are Iranian security forces meaning that 40% of the deaths being reported in Iran are Iranian official security members and yet press in the Western world continually acts as if the protestors en masse are non-violent. Bottom line: I can’ think of no country that would tolerate what the protestors in Iran are doing. Torching cop cars, bombing governmental buildings, attacking security forces, throwing molotov cocktails, murdering people, etc.

  Polling by an American firm prior to the election indicated Ahmadinejad had 75% of the vote. If anyone was cheating, it was Mousavi.

  In the 2009 Iranian elections, there were a number of pre-election polls. For the most part, however, they were disregarded either because they were directly sponsored by one of the candidates or widely viewed as unfairly biased to favor a particular candidate. Perhaps one exception in this was in fact a pre-election poll commissioned by two Washington, DC based think tanks (Terror Free Tomorrow and the New America Foundation) Ahmadinejad had 34% of the vote.

  8% explicitly opted for “none” of the four candidates, 15% refused to answer that question, and 27% did not know for whom they would vote. The nub, here is that roughly 1 in 2 Iranians appear to have expressly avoided choosing one of the candidates running for president.
  Iran Monitors cell phone use – even the polls cannot be trusted because people are afraid to say anything but ahmadinejad. But, when Iranians go to the polls they can vote privately – at least that should be the case.

  I don’t think there is a problem. No peace, no land back. Period.

  You’ll note that the West Bank was, indeed, annexed by Jordan in 1952. And that the Palestinians were represented in Jordainian parliament until 1987. It seems Houssein didn’t want the West Bank.
  And there’s no illegal occupation. War’s a bitch. Especially when you’re the invader. Has Germany received Alsace/Lorraine back?

  Anyway… no peace, no land. If arabs perpetuate a 60+ year war, I think they derserve what they get.

  That poll showed Ahmandinejad with a 20 point lead over Mousavi. Pretty much what the election results reflected.

  It’s very possible that the CIA & MI6 have been instigating unrest in Iran over the election. We know that Bush gave the go ahead for black operations in Iran & it looks like Obama has continued this.

  America & Britain overthrew Iran’s democracy in 1953 & they used similar tactics, CIA paid mobs went into the streets & caused havoc.

  It’s possible that Ahmadinejad won, but not by enough, so they just made up the figures.

  these polls were done months before the campaigns had gotten started. iran only has 2 weeks of elections/campaigning allowed by the state anyway look at the MILLIONS who are protesting and voiceing their freedom of speech NOW.
